Laboratory: Create new direct input devices.
11am - 5pm
In response to formalised and normalised forms of interaction both physical and virtual, LAB will be working with Juneau Projects, John Richards and others to create new direct digital input devices. Using existing technology to create a direct digital feedback interface to build new musical instruments and visuals that have a direct digital human interaction.
17th December 6pm - late: Christmas Party
To mark the end of LAB’s Sideshow residency and to celebrate the festive season LAB will host a Christmas Party that will bring together all the collaborators involved in our final weeks research for a performance involving all the instruments and devices created over the week. Followed by a performance by live code group Slub and other side attractions!
All necessary materials will be provided on the day, as will refreshments.
The Surface Gallery Project Space is located on the top floor, entrance to the stairs on the right in the ground floor gallery.
