In an hour long event re-enactments, re-tellings, and lectures (on real and fictional subjects) crossover and interweave, demonstrating the creative potential discovered within both confusion and control of re-presented information.
Alexander Stevenson's source material involves etymological research, as well as documentation of real and fictional events created during Project Eigg, and real and fictional information about the island’s history and geography. Each element of the event's construction and delivery is significant, alluding to myriad ways information can be presented, absorbed, reinterpreted, controlled, confused and forgotten. The presentations and performances cut across each other interrupting the delivery, changing the subject and format, at regular and unexpected intervals.
